About this site

kingshot199 is a private tool used by Kingdom 199 in the game Kingshot to record members game statistics and plan events. It is not a public service and not affiliated with the makers of Kingshot. This page explains what we store about you, why, who can see it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

What we store

Your account

Your username, your in-game account ID, your in-game nickname, the alliance you belong to, your avatar image if you upload one, and your password stored only as a bcrypt hash that cannot be reversed back into your password.

Your game statistics

The figures you enter yourself in the forms each month, such as troop levels, hero levels and power. We keep the history so your dashboard can chart your progress over time.

If you send a transfer application

The public transfer application form stores everything you type into it: your in-game name and ID, your current state and alliance, your troop and power figures, the languages you speak, your timezone, your Discord username, your free-text answers about why you want to move, and the profile screenshot you upload. We also store the IP address the application was sent from, so we can block someone flooding the form with fake applications.

Why we are allowed to store it

We rely on legitimate interest: running a Kingdom requires knowing who is in it and how strong they are. Everything here is data you typed in yourself, and you decide what to enter. The IP address on transfer applications is kept for the narrower legitimate interest of preventing abuse of a public form.

Cookies and browser storage

This site sets nothing that is not required to make it work. There are no analytics, no advertising, no social media buttons and no tracking of any kind, so there is nothing here to opt out of.

  • ks199_token — keeps you signed in. Expires after 8 hours, or after 30 days if you tick Remember me. It cannot be read by scripts.
  • ks199_locale — remembers the language you picked, for one year.
  • ks199_theme — remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme. Stored in your browser only, never sent to us.
  • ks199_cookie_notice — remembers that you already dismissed the notice at the bottom of the page. Stored in your browser only.

Clearing your browser storage removes all of these. Clearing the sign-in cookie simply signs you out.

Third parties

All scripts, styles and images are served from this site itself. No content delivery network, font service or analytics provider receives your IP address when you open a page here. We do not sell, rent or share your data with anyone.

Who can see your data

  • Other members can see your name and your game statistics on the leaderboard and roster. That is the point of the site.
  • Administrators and strategists can see every members full data, in order to build teams and plan events.
  • Transfer applications, including the screenshot and the IP address, are visible only to administrators and to the transfer team roles. They are never shown to ordinary members.
  • Nobody outside the kingdom has access. There is no public profile page and no sign-up form for the site itself.

How long we keep it

Your account and its statistics are kept while your account is active. When an account is revoked or archived, its history is kept so past events and rankings stay meaningful, unless you ask us to delete it. Transfer applications are kept as a record of who joined and when. Ask us and we will delete your data.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of everything we hold about you
  • correct anything that is wrong
  • delete your data
  • stop using it while a dispute is sorted out
  • object to us using it at all
  • hand it over in a machine-readable file

You can also complain to the data protection authority in the country where you live. Using these rights costs you nothing and we will not treat you differently for asking.

This site is not intended for anyone under 16. If you believe a child has an account here, tell us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Significant changes will be announced in the alliance chat.
